The village on the National Register: three blocks of houses, churches and stores from about 1830 to 1935 north of Old Hillsboro Road, listed in 1998, and the 4000 block of the road itself, added in 2012 with the grocery that is now Fox & Locke, the Country Boy and the gas station that became Leiper's Creek Gallery. About 40 acres, free to walk.
Hillsboro-Leiper's Fork Community Center.

The school opened as a private academy in 1890, burned in 1930 and was rebuilt in 1931, and the county made it the community center in 1998.
