Locally reported. Always free. A plain-language record of what's happening in Franklin, TN, built and maintained by a Franklin neighbor, not a media chain.

The mission

Local reporting that doesn't read like a press release.

Most coverage in Williamson County either tells you a meeting happened without explaining what changed, or it's a press release with a byline. Franklin Frontline is the third option: walk the room, read the source documents, draw the picture you wish someone had drawn for you.

We chase the moments where a Franklin resident says "wait, what does that actually mean for me?" and find the clearest way to answer.

How we report

Three rules we don't break.

Rule 01

Primary sources, always.

Every number, every claim ties back to a budget line, a meeting minute, a deed, a court filing, or a named source we can name. If we can't show our work, we don't publish.

Rule 02

Reported on foot.

If the story is about a place, we go there. If it's about a person, we sit down with them. No press kits, no embargo deals, no copy-paste from a release.

Rule 03

Plain language, always.

No jargon, no acronyms without explanation, no terms-of-art games. If a chart helps, we draw the chart. If a sentence is doing two jobs, we split it.

Who's behind this

One operator, locally based.

Franklin Frontline is built and maintained by a Franklin, TN resident who got tired of waiting for someone else to write the coverage they wanted to read. The site is independent, locally owned, and not affiliated with any party, broker, builder, or business named on these pages.

No outside investors. No editorial board. If you read something here you have a question about, the byline goes straight to one inbox.
